No but that is certainly a possibility. Down the line
I'm personally convinced we'll need to run an MDX endpoint
in the not too distant future.

This announcement however was more about the incoming
side of metadata aggregation rather than the outgoing
side (which is what MDX is all about).

For the rest of your questions you should turn up at
the MDX discussion list which is "mdx at lists.iay.org.uk"
<mdx at lists.iay.org.uk>.

While we are on the topic - MDX could probably be a
nice backend (if you let it respond with JSON objects)
with something like accountchooser.com for our discovery.
